To compensate for not having scans from the latest issue of DWM, I have added new animations from the midseason trailer to the fanzone. These are my first attempts at creating them. While they’re not perfect I am proud of how they came out. I won’t post a preview since they may be spoiler-rich for those who haven’t seen the trailer. You can find more here.
Billie Piper has admitted she had to watch old episodes of Doctor Who to get the accent right for her return as Rose Tyler.
The starlet, who married actor Laurence Fox last year, was concerned she would not sound chavvy enough after a string of posher roles – so she rented out DVDs of the BBC1 series.
Billie, 25, told Doctor Who magazine: “I had to watch a lot of the old stuff, so I could remember certain things about the character, because I’ve been playing posh birds since I left the programme.
“Rose is a bit of a chav, bless her. I needed to hear the voice and watch the posture and everything.”
She added: “But then the minute you get on set and you’ve got Russell T Davies’s scripts – he remembers how to write so well for Rose – you’re back there on day one, really. Well, I hope! I haven’t seen the rushes yet.”
Playing posh birds since Doctor Who? Billie’s obviously forgotten about her role as a hooker in ITV2’s Secret Diary Of A Call Girl.

I have added the first scan from the new issue of Doctor Who Magazine to the gallery. Once I get my hands on some HQ scans (since I live in the US and issues are about 1 month behind…), I’ll post them here. :)
Britons are depressed and traumatised – similar to being in mourning – when their favourite television series ends, research claims.
After forming bonds with TV characters, one in five viewers said they were severely affected when the show finished. And almost a third said they had become romantically attached to a character.
More than one in five said they felt depressed when the series finished, with those aged between 16 and 24 the most affected.
The show which caused the most upset among men was Only Fools And Horses, while for women it was Friends.
These two shows also finished first and second respectively on the overall “TV trauma” list. They were followed by Fawlty Towers, Cold Feet, Sex And The City, The Office, Cheers, The West Wing, The Sopranos, and The OC.
The survey – which quizzed nearly 1,600 Britons – found romantic attachments led to heartbreak when the character left or the show ended.
For men the character most likely to cause these feelings was Dr Who’s Rose Tyler, played by Billie Piper. For women it was James Nesbitt’s character Adam Williams from Cold Feet.

ITV2 has ordered a third series of Secret Diary of a Call Girl before the second run has aired.
The drama, in which Billie Piper stars as the high class London call girl Belle de Jour, will be made as an 8 x 30-minute series by Tiger Aspect. Shooting will begin early in 2009 and it is expected to air later in the year.
Piper, who is confirmed for the third series, is widely reported to be pregnant and it is understood she is due to give birth before the end of the year. Filming for the second series of the show has just begun and the star may use a body double in some scenes.
The heavily promoted first series of Secret Diary was a breakthrough hit for ITV2, averaging more than 1.2 million (7.57% share) and attracting a further 141,000 viewers (1.53%) to ITV2+1. The first series also began a run on ITV1 this week.
It is based on the anonymous blog of Belle de Jour who purports to be a real-life prostitute and has also published two bestselling books based on her experiences.
ITV has updated their ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’ page with more features including new videos and pictures to view. They have also announced the new series will start in September on ITV2.
Also the channel is re-airing the original 8 episodes of Series one starting tonight at 10.40pm on ITV1. If you haven’t seen the series yet, you should catch it now!
Tune into BBC One on Saturday 24th May at 6.45 pm to see a special sneak preview of the rest of Doctor Who Series Four! You can already read what’s going to be featured in it here. Don’t click the link if you do not want to be spoiled for it! I will have screencaps as soon as I get my hands on it.
For those fans in Australia, you can catch Billie in The Ruby In The Smoke, part of The Sally Lockhart Mysteries on ABC1 at 8:30pm Sunday, 18 May 2008. You can find out more about the showing here.
Billie Piper has started shooting the second series of ITV2′s risque hit series, Secret Diary of a Call Girl.
The independently produced series gave the digital channel record audiences of two million viewers when it screened in 2007.
The eight-episode second series will see Billie reprise her role as Belle de Jour (real name Hannah), an escort who plies her trade in the upmarket London scene.
The new series will see Belle become an unwilling mentor to a young wannabe escort Bambi, played by Ashley Madekwe.
As well, ‘Hannah’ meets a handsome doctor, Alex, and faces the call girl’s ultimate dilemma: can she keep her job as a prostitute while she falls in love?
Secret Diary of a Call Girl will screen on ITV 2 in September.
I have added several new candid shots, including shots of Billie on set of the 2nd series of ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’ and from over the weekend. She looks amazing, if you ask me!
I have also re-arranged the pictures for Secret Diary of a Call Girl, separating the photos into their respective series. I’m currently working on re-arranging the Candid/Out and About photos to make them easier to navigate.

I apologize for the lack of updates here at Billie Piper Fan. News about Billie has been somewhat lacking, besides rumors about her personal life.
I have also been busy with my life outside of updating the site. I finished college and I’m graduating tomorrow. That said, I’ve been overwhelmed with things to do over the past few weeks. The next few weeks don’t look any better because of other family-related issues to take care of.
I will try to update whenever I can. I have scans to add to the gallery but haven’t had a chance to edit them yet. When I am able to, I will add them to the gallery.
BilliePiperFan.com strongly opposes stalkerazzi photographs. We will never post any images that are not publicity relates (IE: Opening nights of productions, behind the scenes etc) We feel very strongly about respecting Billie Piper and her family's privacy and so any pictures of her just visiting the shop will never be posted.
