I was shocked with this came on my TV after watching Dexter tonight. It’s a new promo/advert for Secret Diary and the other shows premiering Monday, January 25th!:

I need to warn you – it’s very ROUGH and sloppy looking. Took it with my digital camera so it’s shaky and the sound isn’t too great. I’ll have a better version by this coming weekend, I hope.

Leeds writer Kay Mellor said Dr Who actress Billie Piper “blew her away” when she auditioned for the film adaptation of her worldwide hit play A Passionate Woman.

On the final day of filming for the BBC drama yesterday, much of it in Leeds, the award-winning scriptwriter admitted she had initially been “resistant” to using the former pop star.

But she was won over by the young actress, whose skill in bringing the character of Betty to life was all the more important because she is based on Kay’s mother Dinah who died three years ago.

A Passionate Woman tells the story of a young wife and mother who falls in love with her Polish neighbour in 1950s Leeds, only for her affair to implode 30 years later on her son’s wedding day.

According to Showtime and an article from The Hollywood Reporter, Secret Diary will return to our screens, at least in the US, January 25, 2010. It’s unsure when ITV plans to premiere the series.

Showtime set return dates for most of its series to return next spring.

“The Tudors” is back for its fourth and final season on April 11.

Edie Falco’s “Nurse Jackie” has its second season debut March 22. Along with “United States of Tara” starring Toni Collette in her Emmy-winning role.

“Secret Diary of a Call Girl” and “Tracey Ullman’s State of the Union” start Jan. 25.

Also starting on Jan. 25 is a new unscripted series, “La La Land,” starring Brit comic Marc Wootton playing three different characters interacting with unsuspecting people in Los Angeles.

Once more information is provided, I’ll be sure to update with it.
