Could we be in danger of losing national treasure Billie Piper? The former Doctor Who sidekick says she won’t rule out a move to the US.
“At the moment it’s unlikely, because my son Winston is so young and I’m getting work in Britain of a high quality,” says Billie, who stars in A Passionate Woman on BBC1 next Sunday.
“But if the parts I were being offered in America were really good then, yes, I would definitely consider moving.” In trying her luck stateside, the Diary Of A Call Girl actress would be joining Ugly Betty’s Ashley Jensen, The Office’s Lucy Davis and Adele Silva – ex of Emmerdale who was last seen working as, er, a shop assistant in Hollywood.
Billie, who lives in West Sussex with Lewis actor hubbie Laurence Fox and 16-month-old Winston, says: “At the moment what I’m being offered is four scenes as someone’s girlfriend in a sitcom, if I’m lucky. But if that changes, if the roles in the US become good and substantial… ” So, you’re waiting for a call, girl…
