From TVShowsOnDVD, the 4th and final series of Secret Diary will be released on DVD in America on August 9. No word on any features or if the 3rd series will be released. Here’s what we know now:

Showtime’s critically-acclaimed series SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL: THE FINAL SEASON makes its debut on DVD August 9 from Showtime Networks, CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment. Based on the real-life adventures of a high-class escort, the titillating and provocative series has been called “smartly satisfying” (San Francisco Chronicle) and compared to the long-running television favorite Sex and the City.

Starring Billie Piper as an independent young woman named Hannah who works as one of London’s premiere escorts under the pseudonym “Belle,” the tantalizing plot thickens as she tries to balance her unusual career choice with her personal life. The final season finds our heroine in an awkward love triangle and finally forced to decide if she will commit to her boyfriend Ben or leave him forever. But the real choice is: who is she going to be, Hannah or Belle?

The SECRET DIARY OF A CALL GIRL: THE FINAL SEASON DVD includes all 8 seductive episodes and will be available for the suggested retail price of $26.99 U.S. and $32.99 Canada. The DVD is presented in widescreen with English 5.1 Surround, English 2.0 Surround and Spanish Mono. The DVD is not rated in the U.S and is rated 18A in Canada. The total running time is approximately 3 hours and 7 minutes.

Well, that’s not quite the case, as Billie Piper (you all know who she is, right?) has been explaining. Her role in the hit ITV series Secret Diary of a Call Girl has now come to an end, and as it’s unlikely that she’ll be reprising her days as Rose Tyler with Matt Smith, the quest is on to find something new to do.
